Is this getting silly? Pretty much everyone who watched Sherlock on the weekend enjoyed it. Benedict Cumberbatch was good. Lots of people could detect the Moffat writing style in the show. Nearly as many people thought Cumberbatch’s Holmes oozed “Doctorness” about it. In fact, the speculation that Cumberbatch would be the natural appointment as the […]

Silly looking Sengoku Basara samurais come to PlayStation and Blu-ray
Funimation and CapCom have got their hands on (some of) the Sengoku Basara license. The anime is coming out on blu-ray on October 12 and so is the computer game. In Europe the computer game will be out just a few days later. The problem here is that Funimation doens’t appear to have the anime […]
Iron Man anime airs in 2011 – teaser video available now
This anime-inspired version of Iron Man won’t reach US TV any time soon. We’re looking at the last three months of 2011. Grok knows how long/if it’ll be before it appears on UK TV. This is a Warren Ellis scripted production – I mean; it’s really his thing, isn’t it. Mr Transhumanist. He’s the guy […]
Torchwood turns dark; stays dark
There was a world of difference between the first Torchwood series and the Children of Earth mini-series. In some ways it was almost a set up; you were led to believe that Torchwood was this silly romp that was ‘adult’ only because of its sexual references. Then they hit us with Children of Earth. In […]
Spartacus: Gods of the Arena
Starz may be in the process of selling off Manga but they’re keeping their popular Spartacus series. The bloody and sexy gladiator drama has been a hit. Cruely, Spartacus star Andy Whitfield has cancer. We hope he can beat it. Season 2 – Spartacus: Gods of the Arena is set before Spartacus arrives at the […]
Red trailer: Felicia Day as a werewolf hunter
Geek and fan favourite Felicia Day has the staring role in a Syfy original werewolf hunting movie. Once again those lucky blighters at Comic-Con got to watch a trailer but unlike those slyly recorded copies which are YouTube leaking over the weekend – the SyFy Channel very wisely decided to publish their trailer. The movie […]
Watch before it’s yanked: The Walking Dead trailer
We’ve already had Captain Jack’s Comic Con address make it online. Now we’ve got a long trailer for The Walking Dead air at Comic Con and make it to YouTube. I can only imagine the crowd was asked not to record the trailer. Maybe not. Whatever the situation; we do now have 4 plus minutes […]
First Pictures: Doctor Who’s new costume
We’re doing quite well with the photographs from the Christmas Special filming at Cardiff Coal Exchange. We’ve had a sneak peak of Michael Gambon heading in for filming – good to see Dumbledore on Doctor Who. Now we’ve got access to early pictures of Matt Smith, as Doctor Who, and wearing a new jacket. There […]
Sci-fi Air Bender, oh, and Fire Bender, Water Bender and Earth Bender
Imagine a war torn future. It has man eating aliens. Weapons that can destroy planets. Can you imagine what the Air Bender from that world would be like? Can you imagine what that sci-fi Fire Bender would be like? Well! Imagine no more. Using very clever algorithmic analysis, combined with probability curves and projection theory – we […]
Bleach 280
Since very popular Bleach fansite Bleach7.com is down for the count I thought it might be a good idea to put a placeholder live for Bleach 280. Why? For many fans this will be the first Bleach they’ve had to go looking for without Bleach7.com. Let’s hope 280 is a good episode! This isn’t a […]
