The Hand are the creation of Frank Miller. They’re a cross between an organised crime gang and a mystical cult. They’d not normally have anything to do with Wolverine. The two have fought in the past. In the Woverline sequel we’re expecting Mr Clawy to be involved with a bunch of ninjas. What we have […]

Sucker Punch teases with TV slots
I’m really looking forward to Sucker Punch. The heritage of the film speaks volumes – The 300 and Watchmen. Surely Zack Snyder has a masterpiece on his hands? Emily Browning plays Babydoll – locked away against her will but determined to survive. Together with Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish), Amber (Jamie Chung), Blondie (Vannessa Hudgens) and […]
Huh-uh! Dragon Ball 2 – Dragon Ball reboot
What did you make of Hollywood’s Dragon Ball movie? If you are a fan of the Dragon Ball anime series did you like it? If you weren’t a fan of the Dragon Ball anime series did you like the movie? I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest the answer is – […]
Battle: Los Angeles (yeah, it’s a PG13)
The trailer for the forthcoming Battle: Lost Angeles looks pretty cool. It concludes by letting us know it’ll be a PG13 rated film. I’ve seen much of the internet snigger at this. The movie does look neat but it pitches itself as a gritty fight to survive. It implies there will be blood, death and […]
X-Men: First Class trailer
That’s right folks. We have a trailer for X-Men: First Class. My first thought was whether they can save the franchise after a disappointing X-Men 3. My second thought was “What on Earth will they show?” I think it’s a pretty good trailer. We’ve Erik and Charles – who become known as Magneto and Professor […]
More news on How to Train Your Dragon 2 but not on David Tennant
Doctor Who fans know that David Tennant played Spitelout in “How to Train Your Dragon”. The challenge is that Spitelout wasn’t a significant character. We think Spitelout is Snotlout’s dad (or perhaps Stoick’s brother) as he looks so similar to Snotlout. Towards the end of the film he appears with a Terrible Trerror and this […]
Impressive! Back to the Future made in LittleBigPlanet 2
There’s a copy of LittleBigPlanet 2 on the table next to me that needs to get out of its wrapper and into my PlayStation 3. Needs. Must. This impressive Back of the Future video is just one of a thousand reasons why some LBP2 action is necessary this weekend. LBP2 user Rigzz has put together […]
Priest trailer – Super Bowl ad with #priest goodness
This Priest trailer aired during the Super Bowl. Frankly, I think the Super Bowl could have done with more vampires and so Priest made a huge impact on the game by adding just two or three. Also, this Priest trailer ends by encouraging us to include #priest in our Twitter chats about the film. I […]
Super 8 Super Bowl TV trailer
It’s been a whole since we’ve written about the new J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg Super 8 project. At the time we wondered whether it could be a prequel to Cloverfield. It’s not. Super 8 is a merger of Speilberg films like Close Encounters and spooky Abrams drama. The trailer explains all. Any thoughts? Interested […]
Transformers: Dark of the Moon Super Bowl trailer
It should be no surprise that Mr Michael Bay has managed to land a Super Bowl trailer for the next Transformers movie. I have to admit that this is the first time that Dark of The Moon has looked tempted to me. I thought the second Transformers movie had killed the weak franchise off for […]
