I’ve given War in the North plenty of coverage on Geek Native because it’s a Lord of the Rings game. The one franchise to rule them all. There’s been a common theme; heroes get in big strike, wonderful giant eagle swoops in and saves them. I was wondering whether this was a “call in an […]

Rise of Nightmares trailer
This blogger isn’t all that into horror games… well, except for anything Cthulhu flavoured, or perhaps BioShock and DeadSpace, so, erm, not really into horror games unless they’re touch with the holy goodness of RPGism. One of the reasons I struggle with some horror games is – even though I see it coming – I’ll […]
Sony announce new PS3 model
There is a new PlayStation 3 on it’s way. It’ll be released in Japan at least and the official page is up with all the details. We’re looking at a new PS3 that consumes less power, is lighter in weight and has a 320 gigabyte hard disk. The pricing looks to be about the same […]
Bleach Soul Ignition ad
This is the very first Bleach game for the PlayStation 3. It’s not surprising that Sony have ponyed up for a juicy TV ad. Okay, it’s not the first Bleach game as there have been plenty for the PSP but it’s funny how they don’t seem to count all of a sudden. A word of […]
Will social games save the Wii U?
I don’t have a blu-ray player; I have a PlayStation 3. I don’t yet have a tablet. I wonder if in a year’s time I’ll be able to say; “I don’t have a tablet. I have a Wii U”? So far the Wii U has generated a lot of blog chat but it’s not impressed […]
Alice: Madness Returns fan made trailer of dooooom!
We have the offical Alice: Madness Returns trailer over here. It’s not bad at all. It’s hard to capture sinister creepy in just a few minutes. That’s why this fan made trailer for Spicy Horse‘s highly anticipated game is all that much more impressive. It’s really quiet sinister. Watch out for the syringe that has […]
Robin Williams is the Zelda elemental
This advert for Ocarina of Time 3D gets off to a flying start once you recognise Robin Williams‘ voice. The kicker, of course, is that Williams is a huge Zelda fan. In fact, he named his daughter after Princess Zelda. Can you think of anyone better to promote the 3D game?
Darkness – the game, the introduction
The Darkness is a comic from Top Cow and a spin off from Witchblade. It started back in 1996 and features a hitman called Jackie Estacado. On his 21st birthday is power manifests and he becomes the bearer of The Darkness. The Darkness threatens many otherworldly powers who move against Jackie. Here’s the catch. The […]
Assassin’s Creed Revelations Special Edition will be GAME exclusive
Here in the UK, high street retailer and owner of funky domain name GAME have won the contest to woo Ubisoft. In addition to French kisses this means that the company will be the only bricks store that will be able to sell the Special Edition version of Assassin’s Creed Relevations. What’s in the pack? […]
Mass Effect 3: Fall of Earth
How is the urge to go back and play Mass Effect 2? Even though there’s probably new DLC you can play though. Even though… er, probably, maybe, we might get to import our Shepards from the end of ME2 into the beginning of ME3? I screwed up. ME2 was my first Mass Effect and I […]
