Remember the short animation The Reward? Loads of gamers loved it. A Kickstarter later and we are gearing up for a feature length. Halo: Nightfall is a live action movie based on the Halo computer game franchise. If your initial reaction is ‘that could never work’ then you probably haven’t had the chance to watch Halo: Forward Unto Dawn, the original live action series, which worked very well and premiered as a webs series. The reason why we […]

Is this what Obi-Wan’s ghost should have done?

March 13, 2015 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I rather like this quirky Star Wars comedy from Dorkly. Do you know what… they rather do have a point. Surely Obi-Wan might have been able to manifest a little more often? Mind you; I’m not sure Vader would be such a wuss.

Samurai Darth Vader and storm troops

March 12, 2015 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Really like this piece by Patrik Rosander. It’s called “Lord Vader and his troops” and Rosander says it makes use of “… semi historically accurate equipment”. You can see more of Patrik’s work on ArtStation and even buy this print on Society6 for an added bonus.

Horse cosplay? Just add Dovahkiin

March 12, 2015 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

Some cosplayers know how to make that extra effort and blow us away. Step forward Elwenae – or should I say “ride forward” – as this cosplay set up includes an armoured horse. Skyrim’s a game that’s carved a deep niche for itself in geek culture. Years later; we still recognise it. Wow. (Via Fashionably […]

When you hear people discussing possible solutions again and again then you know they agree that there’s a problem. I keep on hearing about car-sharing as an important part of our future. British comedian Peter Kay has a whole new show, called Car Share, that will be part of the BBC’s new summer line-up. It […]
