Renegade Games Studios who have a partnership with Hasbro for the 2018 Power Rangers: Heroes of The Grid board game today announced an expansion of that relationship.
The first game from the pair will be the Power Rangers Role Playing Game which will use Dungeon & Dragon’s 5e system, which Hasbro owns through Wizards of the Coast. Renegade have their own systems in games like Outbreak, Overlight, and the popular Kids on Bikes but these won’t be used for Power Rangers.
A Power Rangers deck-building game is also on the slate, and that will demo at the virtual Renegade Con, which runs from October 9th to 11th. It’s expected out in the second quarter of 2021.
Renegade will support the partnership with dedicated websites, support for communities, organized play, in-store and at-home events as well as Twitch programs.
Power Rangers are not the only game in the partnership as G.I. Joe, Transformers and My Little Pony brands have been added to the deal.
Casey Collins, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Consumer Products at Hasbro confirmed that games for these brands would be coming soon, telling press;
We’re thrilled to expand our relationship with Renegade Game Studios to include more fan favorite brands from our portfolio. The tabletop and roleplaying games Renegade Game Studios innovated for the Power Rangers franchise have proved to authentically connect with both gamers and the Ranger Nation and we are confident that G.I. Joe, Transformers and My Little Pony fans will love the exciting games coming soon.
Hasbro already has the Cutie Marks & Dragons D&D My Little Pony mashup range.

I sure hope the game is better than that trashy art.
First mission is clearly to find whoever broke the yellow rangers spine right?
Just to be clear; the art is Creative Commons from Deviant Art, as credited in the article, and not released by RGS.
First, that isn’t official art for the game, it’s from DeviantArt. The article used that for the picture. Second, that art is great, at least in my subjective opinion. Don’t speak as if your opinion is gospel.
Yeah, like how they… didn’t. You don’t need to say “in my opinion” to express an opinion, my dude. Calm down.
