The timer on Avalon Hill’s count down page has hit zero.
There’s a new HeroQuest coming.
The twist? Avalon Hill is asking for $1,000,000 raised on Hasbro’s own crowdfunding platform to make it.
The video above comes from the Hasbro Pulse sneak-peek into PulseCon.
You can back the project here.
There are two tiers to pick from; $99.99 or $149.99.
The Heroic Tier ($99.99) contains crowdfunding exclusives, and the Mythic Tier ($149.99) includes expansions.
The front cover very much reflects the iconic first edition of the game with the Barbarian in the middle. Other characters are the Wizard, Dwarf and Elf. As some have predicted; the Elf is a woman. There’s no archer.
Chaosium transfer Trademark
The Chaosium owned Moon Design Publications has a HeroQuest trademark. Today, as the HeroQuest news broke, Chaosium announced a transfer of ownership.
Michael O’Brien said;
We know that the old Milton Bradley HeroQuest board game has many devoted fans who would love to see it back in print once again. The transfer of the HeroQuest trademark to Hasbro is a significant step towards that becoming a reality,
Crowdfunding board games have become the industry standard. The twist here is that Hasbro, Avalon Hill’s owners, owns this platform.

Um, comparing this game to Gloomhaven?! You get so much more value from Gloomhaven and most any other KS exclusive game.
The fact that Hasbro didn’t go through Kickstarter, but instead created ‘Hasbro Pulse’ only shows how money hungry the company is.
I was expecting to pay $60-$75, but $100?! (Perhaps when retail edition comes out) G’damn, might as well buy some Warhammer.
