If you’re using Discord to run D&D games with lots of dice rolling then the value of your D&D Beyond purchases, have just gone up.
Avrae, a bot written by D&D Beyond and Andrew Zhu now integrates with your purchases. Simply put, this means you can run D&D using a Discord server as a command line interface.
I’m old enough to watch that video and remember the days of multi-user dungeons (MUDs). It’s pretty impressive.
A list of commands, with subcommands and valid arguments that Avrae can cope with can be found here. This free D&D bot can do a lot.
The new D&D Beyond library integration means that the bot can access and help with a broader range of rules.
Avrae has its own site, with reduced D&D Beyond branding on it, that should be your first step in getting the bot set up.
