Noble Knight Games, a retailer that specialises in rare and out of print RPGs, has something special on eBay right now. It’s a Basic Dungeons & Dragons Original Edition, dating to 1975, in the original woodgrain box.

There’s something quirky about this offering, though. There are first printing books and material in the box and second printing. Noble Knight Games also agree that the years have not been kind to the box, it’s pretty beaten up, but they also say given the age is a comparatively good condition.
The auction is going strong. At the time of writing, the D&D original woodgrain box is going for about $9,000 and the buy now option is enabled.
The contents are in much better condition. There’s a second printing of Men & Magic, a first printing of Monsters & Treasure and a first printing of The Underworld & Wilderness Adventures.
One for the serious collectors, this!
