Team D&D just beat the Mad Men at their own game

The Stream of Many Eyes is now an award-winning marketing success.

Wizards of the Coast’s in-house D&D team have won the “Event/Experiential’ category of the American Drum Awards. The Drum is a popular marketing magazine.

To win the award Team D&D beat competition from some of the largest and most successful marketing agencies in the world.

The Stream of Many Eyes was D&D’s transmedia announcement of the Waterdeep story arch. It centred around a Twitch stream, with a live audience, several announcements (like Dragon Heist) and celebrity streamers.

Guest stars for the Stream included Matthew Lillard, Clint McElroy and Critical Role’s Taliesin Jaffe, Sam Riegel, and Ashley Johnson. Deborah Ann Woll, from Daredevil, DM’d Matthew Mercer and Marisha Ray, Tommy Walker and Julia Dennis in a Forgotten Realms adventure.
