This works in progress The Name of the Wind animation is full of promise

Patrick Rothfuss’ The Name of the Wind is book one of what may be one of the most popular fantasy trilogies in recent times. Book Three, The Slow Regard of Silent Things, came out in 2016 with a novella focused on Auri.

In this animation, the characters still sketches, put together by Ethan Becker for the purposes of teaching, we see a pivotal scene in the first book. This is where the lute breaks and the wind stirs.

The animation was uploaded to YouTube only a few weeks ago and is speeding towards 200, 000 views. It seems likely that companies like Netflix and Amazon are keeping a watchful eye and gauging public interest.
