Are you trying to come up with images and scenery suitable for your RPG?
Filmmaker Joh Duncan just shared a film called ‘Ancient Scotland’ that shows twenty-one unusual locations from the air. Here we have ancient wonders, castles and islands. It was a hard film to make, physically demanding and often wrestling with the weather. The visit to Shetland, for example, took four days for just 10 seconds of footage.
I think if you’ve seen enough of the New Zealand / Lord of the Rings setting (which is equally as breathtaking) this Scottish alternative will do you well. There are more green hills and water here. These are older mountains and, of course, the sign of humanity’s presence with castles and lighthouses evident.
