The BBC have confirmed that the title of the 50th Anniversary Special for Doctor Who will be called “The Day of the Doctor”.
We had been told “featured film” in length – so around 90 minutes in length. As it turns out The Day of the Doctor will be around 75 minutes in total. That’s longer than most but some fans may be disappointed.
It’s expected the episode will feature Zygons, Daleks, Cybermen, UNIT and a number of Doctors. The BBC did not mention John Hurt; confirming only Matt Smith and David Tennant.
Classic Doctor Who fans might remember there was once an episode called Day of the Daleks which featured Jon Pertwee as the third Doctor.
