Gale Force Nine have a license deal with Fox to produce a Firefly board game.
The game will have players as captains of their own Firefly-class transport ships looking for work. Desperate for work players will have to take on any job, so long as it pays and deal with dodgy employers, Alliance patrols and roaming Reaver marauders.
The game is expected to be out in the Autumn of 2013. The company have set up Facebook.com/FireflyBoardGame as a way to keep fans up to date. It’s not surprising to see that thousands of fans have flocked to Like the page. There’s not yet been an update since the announcement.
GF9 have both a Heroclix and Dungeons & Dragons line. The former produces tokens and battlefield effects like ice and fire blasts as Heroclix units.
