The 24th of July marks the 115th birthday Amelia Mary Earhart, it’s been 75 years since she disappeared.
Earhart was an early pioneer of the world of aviation, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. It was in 1937 that Earhart and her’s Lockheed Model 10 Electra vanished. She was trying to fly around the world.
The five fan pictures below come from the fabulous deviant art community. These are pictures that have been inspired by Amelia Earhart – not that we needed any more evidence of how this brave woman remains very relevant today.
