Titan Comics will publish Vampire: The Masquerade: Wake in Hate #1 on 11 November 2026, launching a new four-issue mini-series priced at $4.99.

Written by Glasgow-based horror writer John Lees and illustrated by veteran comic artist Tom Mandrake, the 32-page comic is set in Seattle and connects directly to the World of Darkness video game Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2.
The story centres on Simeon “Silky” Ladock, the Brujah Primogen of Seattle and proprietor of The Dutchman bar. When civilian protests erupt across the city, suspicious killings leave corpses completely drained of blood. Local Camarilla authorities task Silky with entering the unrest to see whether rogue vampires are hunting in the chaos, putting him in direct conflict with Katsumi Ishizaki, the surgeon-turned-Brujah leader of Seattle’s Anarch faction.
Seattle street unrest and Kindred politics
Setting the comic in Seattle establishes continuity with the upcoming video game while letting John Lees (The Nasty, And Then Emily Was Gone) anchor the horror in street-level faction tensions. Artist Tom Mandrake (The Spectre, Batman) supplies heavy ink wash and jagged shadow work, complemented on Cover C by colourist Justin Prokowich and production credits by Barna.
The interior preview highlights the Camarilla’s fragile peace. Rather than cloistered ballrooms, the drama unfolds across crowded protest camps and neon-lit alleyways. The preview features Banu Haqim Primogen Niko Angelov and Toreador artist Patience Boswell, showing how the city’s ruling court monitors mortal disorder. For tabletop roleplaying games enthusiasts familiar with fifth edition lore, open feeding during urban demonstrations skirts dangerous territory with the Second Inquisition, a threat that typically forces rival sects into uneasy cooperation.
Seattle has long held a distinct identity in tabletop culture as the host city for PAX West and Emerald City Comic Con. By putting the Space Needle on Andrea Sorrentino’s primary cover and staging faction summits in neighbourhood dive bars, the production grounds the World of Darkness in recognisable geography.
The Bloodlines 2 Shadow and missing tabletop mechanics
While Titan markets the issue as based on the tabletop game and video game, the comic shoulders the baggage of a turbulent development cycle. Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 suffered public studio changes, moving from Seattle-based Hardsuit Labs to Brighton studio The Chinese Room alongside repeated release delays. Aligning print releases to an active video game launch carries scheduling risks, though tying comic plots into established Camarilla and Anarch power struggles gives the comic standalone viability regardless of console roadmaps.
The solicitation also leaves tabletop Storytellers without direct rules material. Recent comic adaptations from Vault Comics, such as Winter’s Teeth, included official tabletop roleplaying game supplements, including V5 Loresheets and city chronicle hooks. Titan’s advance material contains no character stat blocks for Silky Ladock or mechanical rules for running Seattle’s protest zones in a home campaign.
