Sydney-based independent clothing label Lonely Kids Club has released the Dungeon Meowster T-shirt to mark the studio’s 15th anniversary. Hand-drawn by founder Warwick Levy, the original illustration features a feline spellcaster running a campaign table, celebrating a two-decade home gaming group that helped him conquer a severe childhood fear of cats.

The design marks 15 years of continuous independent trading for the Australian label, which launched in Sydney in 2011 on the traditional lands of the Gamaragal people. Rather than relying on seasonal bulk manufacturing, the studio produces each shirt to order using carbon-neutral electricity to cut excess textile waste.
Warwick Levy, founder and illustrator at Lonely Kids Club, told us;
I grew up deathly afraid of cats. When I got into role-playing games with a friend who had two cats, I ended up spending a lot of time playing games with the cats around me. Through those games I gradually learned to love them. Rupert was my favourite. Those games have also kept my school friends and me together for over 20 years. To this day, when I get some time away from my kids to socialise, I’m still playing with the same friends. It’s one of the ways we’ve kept making time for each other as our lives have changed.”

Tabletop Culture and Studio Production in Sydney
The print’s personal story mirrors a broader, enduring tabletop scene across Sydney. Long-running institutions such as SydCon and dedicated gaming centres like Fortress Sydney have anchored the local hobby for decades, providing spaces where home groups form and persist across generations.
For Warwick Levy, the weekly ritual provided stability as school friendships adapted to adult careers and family life. That continuity now carries into his production model. Lonely Kids Club avoids off-the-shelf bulk pressings, opting instead to screen-print each garment individually once an order lands on the desk. Every package leaves the workshop alongside a physical art print, collectable sticker, and magnet drawn from the studio’s catalogue.
The Dungeon Meowster tee is available directly from the creator now.
