Brave Alice Games has launched a major new Kickstarter campaign for RPG Stories VTT, introducing the “Infinite Worlds” expansion to the 3D virtual tabletop and map-making software.

Running until 30 May 2026, the crowdfunding project aims to transform tabletop roleplaying game preparation into a rapid, “Click & Draw” experience across fantasy, modern, and sci-fi settings. To celebrate the launch, Geek Native has teamed up with the developers to give away a full Steam key for the software, allowing one lucky winner to dive into the ecosystem immediately.
The campaign represents the third major phase of development for the software, which has been independently developed over the past five years without the involvement of generative AI. The new Infinite Worlds expansion will emphasise user-generated content and system compatibility, enabling Game Masters to easily import their own 3D models, PDFs, and localised audio files into the virtual environment. Additionally, it includes an automated building system with 16 specialised brushes that can quickly create multi-level dungeons, forests, and urban settings in just seconds.
Unlike traditional VTTS tied to specific rule sets, the platform emphasises cross-genre utility and community sharing through the Steam Workshop. Key features of the new update include a customised brush creator, allowing users to build and distribute their own automation tools, and an integrated browser feature that lets players open and save external ruleset websites directly inside the 3D space. For current users, the campaign offers individual DLC add-ons at a discount, while new backers can secure the core software with immediate Steam key delivery, along with the upcoming expansion content.

Join the 3D Digital Tabletop Community
The growth of independent virtual tabletops relies heavily on direct communication between the development team and the players at the table. By focusing on a system-agnostic framework, the Infinite Worlds expansion addresses a common frustration for groups who regularly rotate between indie roleplaying games and traditional high-fantasy systems. The platform’s emphasis on user-generated content means that the software functions as a foundational toolkit, letting your gaming group dictate the aesthetic, assets, and rules rather than being locked into a rigid, pre-constructed ecosystem.
If you want to track the progress of the campaign, pitch feature requests, or see how other Game Masters are utilising the custom auto-build brushes, the RPG Stories Discord server serves as the primary hub for the community. It is where the developers regularly gather feedback, share beta updates, and coordinate with backers to shape the upcoming pathfinding systems, condition animations, and model customisation tools unlocked via the campaign’s stretch goals.
With the crowdfunding project fully live and running until 30 May 2026, you can explore the full breakdown of tier rewards, including the “Unlock Player Seats” DLC, which allows unlimited free-demo players to join your hosted sessions directly on the RPG Stories VTT – Infinite Worlds Kickstarter page.
