Skullgirls is a comic book style 2D fighter from Mike Zaimot and Alex Ahad. The pair worked on both Lava Punch and Scott Pilgrim in the past and so, although it’s a fighter, Geek Native is curious about the game.
The game is being put together by Reverge Labs and it was via their CEO Richard Wyckoff that we were told Skullgirls was going to be a new take on fighting games, mixing the best bits of a classic fighter with a story. Now it’s easier to visualise because we’ve got a trailer. Huzzah.
Would you put down your current RPG addiction to have a blast at this? Might be one of those games you get out to play when you’ve friends over. You’d expect it to be at least 2-player. This trailer hints at 4-player.
