Find Familiar Spirits, the company behind the critically acclaimed Quest’s End Whiskey, has just unveiled Quest’s End NPC, a new line of premium whiskey. This initiative aims to make the world of fine spirits more accessible to tabletop gamers, encouraging more adventurers to gather around the table, whether for a campaign or a casual drink. Following the success of their limited-edition, super-premium Character Class line, NPC: Master of the Thieves Guild is the first release in this new collection.
This 90-proof bourbon is not just for sipping neat; it’s designed to be shared during your gaming sessions or mixed into your favourite cocktails. Priced at $54.99 (approximately £43 at current exchange rates, though UK availability details vary by product), each bottle offers more than just a drink. It includes a custom D20, a mini dice bag, and exclusive access to “BRAVE OR KNAVE,” a brand-new, fast-paced, rules-light dice game co-created by Lillard and Ware. This game promises to be easy to learn and perfect for adding a bit of fun and chaos to your gatherings.
The bourbon itself, crafted by Master Blender Molly Troupe, is described as offering rich notes of toffee and vanilla, brightened by sweet mint, and balanced with subtle hints of leather and spice. The inclusion of the die and the “BRAVE OR KNAVE” game is a clever move to enhance the overall experience, tying the spirit directly into the gaming hobby it aims to serve. The game has already been play-tested by members of Find Familiar’s Fam Club, suggesting a level of community involvement in its development.
Matthew Lillard, co-founder of Find Familiar Spirits, who is also known for his co-founding of Beadle & Grimm’s, a company specialising in premium Dungeons & Dragons boxed sets, told the press,
We’ve always thought gaming and whiskey are best enjoyed with other people. NPC is our way to invite more fans to join the party and experience the incredible community we’ve been building. And while sharing a drink, we figured, why not give them dice and a fun game to play?”

Find Familiar Spirits takes its name from the well-known gaming spell, but it also cleverly reflects the joy of discovering kindred spirits in real life. Their journey into the spirits world began in 2023 with Quest’s End Whiskey, which quickly garnered both commercial and critical success, including silver awards at the World Spirits Competition.
In 2024, they expanded their portfolio with Macabre Spirits, a horror-inspired brand. Its inaugural release, Rare, Fine & Limited, notably featured the first novella by acclaimed writer/director Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, The Fall of the House of Usher) and a unique barrel-aged sotol. This novella, initially targeted for 12,000 words, expanded significantly during Flanagan‘s writing process, showcasing his deep engagement with the project. They’ve also previously collaborated with the immensely popular Critical Role for two successful whiskey releases: Sandkheg’s Hide and Whitestone Courage.
While Find Familiar Spirits has previously shipped some Rogue whiskey to the UK, potential buyers in Britain should check the Find Familiar Spirits website for specific shipping details and availability of NPC: Master of the Thieves Guild.
