Gehenna Gaming, a publisher known for its focus on horror tabletop roleplaying games, will demonstrate two new titles, Trashumanism and Eldritch Automata, at the upcoming UK Games Expo. The event is scheduled to run from May 31 to June 1, 2025, at the NEC in Birmingham.
Attendees can participate in hands-on demonstrations of both games at the Gehenna Gaming booth. Chris Handley, a writer involved with Trashumanism and Eldritch Automata, is expected to be at the booth to speak with attendees.
Trashumanism, co-written by Kristina Olson (Le Destroy), Nathan Olson, and Chris Handley, is a bio-punk-themed game exploring human evolution and technological integration. It uses the Resistance System, previously seen in games like Heart and Spire, and is described as a rules-light TTRPG where player decisions can lead to significant in-game consequences. In Trashumanism, players control a group of freedom fighters opposing megacorporations. Related merchandise, including a graphic novel and an album by Le Destroy, is also slated to be available.
The second game to be featured is Eldritch Automata, created by Nicholas Francia and Ian E. Muller, with writing contributions from Chris Handley. This narrative-driven TTRPG combines mech combat with elements of psychological horror and social intrigue. According to its designers, Eldritch Automata aims for accessible mechanics alongside deep tactical gameplay. The setting is a world where players pilot Mecha (Automata) and confront monstrous entities known as Horrors and celestial beings called Seraphs. Gameplay will involve managing character Stress and Stability, with interpersonal relationships among survivors influencing both roleplay and combat scenarios.

The Eldritch Automata quickstart is already out and is a free download from DriveThruRPG. The 48-page PDF includes The Dark Passenger as an introductory adventure that can be completed (or lost) in about an hour.
Gehenna Gaming specialises in developing immersive horror tabletop games and states a commitment to safety and inclusivity in its experiences. The demonstration of Trashumanism and Eldritch Automata at the UK Games Expo will provide an early look at these new entries in the tabletop RPG market.
