Tabletop gaming enthusiasts attending the upcoming UK Games Expo will have the opportunity to experience a new modular terrain system firsthand. The Arkham Armoury has announced the launch of its Mythical Realms Dungeon Tiles, crafted from high-density EVA foam, designed to offer a durable and quiet alternative to traditional plastic or resin terrain.

The Mythical Realms system features sets of 108 precision laser-cut, interlocking square tiles, each measuring 2 inches across and 5mm thick. This modular design allows Games Masters (GMs) and players to construct and reconfigure dungeon layouts dynamically during play. When fully assembled, a single set can cover an area of approximately 4 feet by 4 feet.
A key feature highlighted by the creators is the use of EVA foam, known for its durability and lightweight nature. Unlike harder plastic tiles, the foam material aims to reduce noise during gameplay, preventing the clatter often associated with moving miniatures. The tiles are designed to be compatible with standard miniatures measuring 25-32mm and other common terrain systems. While ready to use out of the box, the material is also receptive to painting for GMs seeking further customisation.
UK Games Expo 2025 will serve as a major showcase for the new tile system. Attendees can visit The Arkham Armoury at Stand 3-357, where founder Ash will be demonstrating the tiles’ capabilities throughout the event. This provides a key opportunity for potential users to see the modularity and material quality in person before they become widely available.

The Arkham Armoury has also opened pre-orders ahead of the Expo. Those who pre-order will receive additional exclusive tiles not planned for separate sale, along with a 5e one-shot adventure module featuring custom layouts, a painting guide, and priority shipping, scheduled to be sent immediately after the event concludes. An additional discount is offered for game clubs ordering multiple sets to support community adoption.
The introduction of Mythical Realms Dungeon Tiles at UKGE represents a noteworthy addition to the options available for immersive tabletop roleplaying, offering a potentially more affordable and quieter solution for GMs building their worlds.
