Roll20 and Demiplane, known for digital character tools, today announced the beta launch of a significant integration, aiming to streamline the online tabletop roleplaying experience.

Following months of development and user feedback after Roll20 acquired Demiplane, this release introduces enhanced character sheet integration within the Roll20 Virtual Tabletop (VTT) and expanded cross-platform content syncing. It comes as D&D’s official VTT, Sigil, seems to have fallen at the first hurdle.
A key feature of the Roll20/Demiplane integration is Cross-Platform Sync. Users who own eligible game titles on either Roll20 or Demiplane can now unlock that same content on the partner platform for free, simply by linking their accounts. This benefit, described as “unmatched by other virtual tabletops,” initially covers all eligible titles for Pathfinder 2E, Starfinder 2E, Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition, ALIEN: The Roleplaying Game, and Marvel Multiverse RPG. Select titles from Cyberpunk RED and Fallout: The Roleplaying Game are also included, with efforts underway to expand system support.
Jayme Boucher, Senior Marketing Manager at Roll20, said;
We’re continuing to work closely with our incredible publishing partners to expand system support for Cross-Platform Sync. In today’s economy, we know that investing in your hobbies can feel like a luxury. That’s why we’re committed to giving players the most access and value possible for their hard-earned money. This is one way we can help stretch every dollar and make it easier for people to connect and support their mental well-being through play.”
The integration also introduces Shared Subscription Benefits. Roll20 subscribers who link their accounts now automatically receive Demiplane subscriber perks at no additional cost. These benefits include the ability to share owned content with up to 24 other users and unlimited character creation across the Demiplane platform.

Perhaps the most anticipated feature is the direct Character Integration in the VTT. Players can now use their Demiplane character sheets directly within the Roll20 virtual tabletop environment. This integration maintains familiar Roll20 functionality, including token linking and click-to-roll actions, centralising gameplay within a single interface.
As of today’s beta launch, the systems supported for character integration include:
- Pathfinder 2e
- Starfinder 2e
- Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game
- Cyberpunk RED
- Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition
- ALIEN: The Roleplaying Game
- Candela Obscura
Roll20 confirmed that future support is planned, with highly anticipated titles like Daggerheart (Darrington Press) and the Cosmere Roleplaying Game (Brotherwise Games) expected to launch with integration enabled on their respective release dates.

Importantly, the new Demiplane character sheets can be used alongside existing Roll20-native sheets within the same game, offering flexibility for players and Game Masters. GMs can continue using their existing Roll20 NPC and monster setups without disruption.
This beta launch marks a significant step towards unifying digital tools for the tabletop RPG community, promising enhanced value and a more seamless experience for players using both Roll20 and Demiplane platforms.
