It’s November that the feature-length of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will hit the cinema. The film is called Scarlet Bond and is a brand new story.
Crunchyroll, who have been streaming the series, have confirmed they have the rights to the movie and won’t be hanging around. It’s possible That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond will hit Crunchyroll in early 2023. In other words, months, not years, after Japan.
Fuse, the original light novel writer, drafted the core story here. We go west of the lands of Tempest and get caught up in a conspiracy and a girl with strange powers.
There’s also an ogre survivor, Hiiro, who knows Rimuru’s commander Benimaru.
The TV show has been running on Crunchyroll and Funimation. It’s perhaps notable that Scarlet Bond is an extension of the anime and the anime based on the manga. Taiki Kawakami adapted Fuse’s light novel into a manga. Kawakami’s manga has been successful, enjoyed a second season and this movie which brings back the light novel author Fuse.
