The title alone carries some concern, doesn’t it? Well, the full trailer for Mr. Osomatsu: The Hipipo Tribe and the Glistening Fruit is now out, and we can see how Pierrot treat the first of the two expected feature lengths.
The Glistening Fruit can be found in Japanese cinema from July 8th.

I think the jury is still out on how well or poorly the show tackles racial tropes as the brothers encounter the Hipipo people. The sequel is due out next year, and so there’s quite a bit riding on this.
In the TV series, which is described as a “high tension comedy”, we’ve six brothers who are all in love with the same girl Totoko.
There’s a recent live-action, and Viz Media have the streaming rights, with Crunchyroll having aired it previously.
