Wisdom Vault’s Seas of Kansas uses the Time Shredders ruleset and a deck of standard playing cards. As a result, you can play where people might not look too kindly at people rolling dice.
Furthermore, in the game, PCs are in a flooded Kansas and there to rescue people. The baddies are the white supremacists who prey on those caught, fascist organisations and the manmade climate change that caused it. The RPG has made the campaign target.
There’s a free quick start guide available to download so you can check out the rules.
The game also uses a “death is transitory” system, which means agreement from the group allowing, characters can return to the adventure even after apparently terminal ends.
The game book has all the different factions that have begun carving up the flooded region the longer the disaster extends, giving you an array of allies and enemies to interact with the players.
Inspired by real world challenges of human-caused climate change, fascist corporations and corrupt white supremacists (and their violence against all of us), this game also helps you educate your players on these topics. All while running an exciting adventure for your friends!
A pledge of $10 will get you the PDF and stretch goals. The estimated delivery at that tier is soon, June 2022.
The next one up, $30, gets you the 188-page print copy and the PDF, but that’s limited to certain countries only. The fulfilment date is later, September 2022.
There was one $2,000 space, for a sponsor, but that’s been snapped up.
