We’ve had The Executioner and Her Way of Life trailers before on Geek Native and commented on how dark the story seems to be.
The latest just confirms that. It’s an English sub, so hit that YouTube caption button to see what’s been said.
Known in Japan as Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road, the series makes no bones that trained assassins or witch-hunters are executioners with more glamourous job titles.
The trailer here has plenty of action, it sells the anime through the combat and characters, but there’s no escaping that brutal truth.
Yen Press sell the manga translated into English and describe the series;
When interdimensional travelers from an otherworldly land known as “Japan” appear, they often bring death and destruction. It’s up to Executioners like Menou to track and exterminate the Lost Ones before they wreak havoc. When Menou encounters a beguiling Lost One named Akari, it’s bloody business as usual… until Menou discovers Akari can cheat death, that is. Even so, Menou has a job to do, and she is committed to her executioner’s mission come hell or high water — provided her newly stirring feelings don’t get in the way.
