The British Heart Foundation charity has released a powerful and emotional video. It’s about turning science fiction into reality, and it’s powerful.
Not the usual type of video to appear on Geek Native, I concede, but worth sharing, and you can find out more, or donate at their site.
One of the innovations mentioned is 3d printed hearts. The use of 3d printers is well known to Geek Native readers, and we get lots of models, but creating a complex organ is sci-fi.
In the news this week was a sci-fi-now-real story about a known criminal who paralysed a man, also becoming the first person to receive a modified pig heart transplant. Perhaps 3d printed hearts aren’t that far away?
