Clever musical easter egg in Inception

The clever bit is the use of Edith Piaf‘s famous “Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien“. It’s best if I don’t explain it – it’s better with the reveal. Watch the video below and marvel.

The close call is that the song was nearly dropped from Inception entirely because Marion Cotillard was cast as Mal Cobb; Dom’s wife. Glad they kept it in!
