Toei has a new feature-length in the pipeline for the Dragon Ball Super franchise. At New York Comic-Con, we got the first look at not only a trailer but a new CG style.
Slated for a 2022 Japanese release, the Dragon Ball Super movie will almost certainly head West to streaming platforms and perhaps even networks.
We know that the project began in 2018, there’s a superhero theme and that Dragon Ball Super: Broly was released after this started, so fan feedback on the latter may have had limited influence on Super Hero.
Some of the new characters are linked to the Red Ribbon Army, which we’ve seen before in Dragon Ball.
Akira Toriyama is in charge.
