Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop is a gorgeous-looking anime to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the FlyingDog music label. We can expect plenty of music.
The film will air in cinemas in Japan later this month and, on the 22nd, will stream on Netflix.
The latest preview trailer shows the two main characters; Smile and Cherry. Smile is a girl so embarrassed by her teeth that she hides behind a mask, and Cherry is a boy so bad at talking to others that he hides beneath headphones.
An accident and then social media throw the two together.
Directed by Kyohei Ishiguro (“Your lie in April”) Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop is being made by Signal.MD.
