A tabletop RPG on Gamefound, and if you back during day one, you get a free d20.
Vast Grimm is a Mork Borg compatible sci-fi from the elder dice people at Infinite Black. The campaign has just launched, is racing towards funding and smashed through 100 backers straight away.
If, like me, you’re not used to Gamefound then note the pledge tiers on the right are not the only ones; just the expensive doom option you’re being nudged to.
Are you a MAnchiNe ravaged by war, pieced together with remnants of bots and the little flesh left of your body? Maybe you’re a twisted biochemist shoving needles into your arms in hopes that this next fix will be the one that saves you and what’s left of humanity? Or perhaps you are a soul survivor, like a cockroach, doing whatever necessary to stay alive even if it means the rest of your Legion must perish.
Geek Native spoke to the game’s lead writer, Brian Colin, ahead of launch with some questions, securing the knowledge that you don’t need a core set of Mork Borg rules to play.
There’s also a free to download 7-page preview of the sci-fi horror to check out.
As you’d expect for an Infinite Black meets Mork Borg project, the rulebook is a visual feast. The rules are Mork Borg deadly and straightforward.
In terms of pledges, $10 gets you the PDF and all relevant stretch goals. That becomes a hardcover at $19. Or, also for $19, you can pick up 10 Vast Grimm Elder Dice with a holographic grimoire and lore card.
The dice and hardback, complete with PDF, combo up at the $37 level. You can get the hardback of Vast Grimm with three sets of dice for $79 or just three sets of dice for $49.
Supplying your gaming group with 5 copies, 5 sets of dice and d2 coins costs $199 and then. The “We’re all doomed” tier that floats around, noting a discount from $256 to $199 gets you the hardcover, PDF, 3 sets of dice, one holographic slipcase, 1 premium playmat, 3 pins, d2 coins, the GM screen and stretch goals.
