One-Punch Man’s Shingo Natsume’s Sonny Boy anime gets a new trailer

In Sonny Boy, a group of friends is transported to a different dimension to fight to survive. The superpowers awakening in them may be the only thing that gives them the edge they need.

The original anime is by Shingo Natsume, who directed One-Punch Man, and revealed in April and now due to air later this month in Japan.

The talent is impressive. Cowboy Bebop director Shinichiro Watanabe is the music advisor, and Norifumi Kugai, who did ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept, is the animation character designer.

The trailer reveals little of the supernatural twist in the anime, nor does the visual, but the darkness in the background manages to be threateningly sombre.
