Record of Ragnarok is an upcoming anime on Netflix, due out on the 17th, and it has champions from all of humanity’s history go to battle against the gods themselves.

It’s a hotly anticipated series based on the manga by writers Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui with illustrations from Ajichika.
There is, however, some concern from religious groups about the show. The gods featured aren’t all from mythology. Some are drawn on religions and beliefs still widely practised today, and this has resulted in complaints.
