Neithernor is a FATE Core powered game set in C.J. Bernstein’s Briarverse.
The alpha digital edition is out today, and you can pre-order the softback or one of the limited edition hardcovers.
The Briarverse is a story woven with interactivity. As a reader, you can complete an Ackerly Green’s Guide to Magiq assessment and discover which Guild you can join. Once in a Guild, you can take part in forums and other activities.
The story of the Briarverse itself involves two worlds. One of those worlds is wild and full of secret magic. The other is a dark and desperate place, and whose inhabitants are left to search for wonder.
We, you and I, live in that second world.
There’s a bleed between the two, though, and warring factions, powerful magic and even heroes from both worlds can come together.
The Briarverse RPG, Neithernor, was written not just by C.J. Bernstein and Michael Alan Nelson, but the whole Ackerly Green community.
It’s a large book, coming in at 499 pages, and games are recommended for 3 to 6 players.
In the game, characters will face their own Briarverse mysteries, form their own coven and create their own magic.

I’d love to share updates with you as we continue honing Neithernor into its… Read more »
