At AnimeJapan 2021, Aniplex revealed a new trailer for Sword Art Online the Movie Progressive: Aria of the Starless Night.

In this arc, we follow Yuuki Asuna, a top student who would usually be cramming but who happened to borrow her brothers VR gear and experiment with Sword Art Online on the day the NerveGear trap sprang.
Asuna worries about what will happen to her real-life due to this virtual confinement and applies her real-life skills of cramming and study to solving the problem.
While thousands of other gamers are in chaos, fighting for their lives, Asuna’s swift skills attract the interest of Krito.
The show’s character design is by Kento Toya, who’s worked on Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld and The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments before.
Yen Press have the rights to the English language manga series.
