You can now access the first playable version of the free forever and not-for-profit virtual tabletop Mythic Table.
The URL is fp.mythictable.com. I didn’t ask, but I imagine the ‘fp’ stands for “first playable” and so the URL may change, or direct, in the future with new releases.
Mythic Table is an open-source virtual tabletop, put together by a large group of experts who are aiming to build an entire supporting software suite.
The idea is that you become an owner of Mythic Table, rather than a customer.
There are no plans to charge for services or features now, or in the future. However, fans can donate and support via Patreon.
There are some features, besides being free and run with its financial books wide open to see, that the team believes sets it apart. The menu in the virtual tabletop is nested and customisable so you can adjust it to suit your playing style. The UI works hard to be as expressive as possible so, at a glance, players can see what’s going on, and this includes showing the modifiers characters, and NPCs might be affected to via their tokens.
