New Doctor Who monster “The Spoonheads” introduced in “The Bells of St John”

Bells of St John

The BBC have released the first teaser picture to The Bells of St John. When Doctor Who returns on the 30th March, The Bells of St John will be the episode that re-re-introduces Jenna-Louise Coleman as the “new” companion Clara Oswald. It’s written by Steven Moffat.

It’s easy to see why the picture is grabbing the attention; especially has it seems to suggest a new costume. I couldn’t but help double take at the new baddie though. Spoonheads! The BBC wrote;

Set in London against the backdrop of new and old iconic landmarks, The Shard and Westminster Bridge, ‘The Bells of St John’ will also establish a new nemesis, the Spoonheads, who will battle the Doctor as he discovers something sinister is lurking in the Wi-Fi.

    Hmm. May be consulting my lawyers as aliens called the Spoonheads have featured my House of Fun series of children’s novels (eg Stinky Finger’s House of Fun) for many years. May not be as well known as Dr Who but have sold over 60,000. Now everyone’s going to think it’s me who’s copied them, and to make things worse I’m a Cardiff author!

    Really? This is big news… I’d love to write a blog post about it. I’ve found your House of Fun series on Amazon and see they’re no small cheese.
