This is awesome. Awesome in the tasty sense. I’m going to have a go at naming all the heroes in the cake. There’s Batman (duh), Superman, Aquaman, Spider-man, The Hulk, Robin and Captain America. Do you agree? Did I get any wrong? P.S. Are you surprised to see Aquaman in there? (Via iFanboy.)

Disney Princesses as superheroes
For one reason or another one of the most popular posts to Geek Native this year has been the sexy princess series which had a Topcow art style approach to the tradition Disney princess. Here’s another take: Disney princess superheroes. The Deviant Artist in question this time is Kreugan. From Kreugan’s own post it looks […]
Real Life Super Heroes
Real Life Super Heroes is a photography project from Peter Tangen. Simply put; real people dress as superheroes (perhaps in some cases do the Kick Ass thing and try and be heroes). In pretty much every case; Tangen makes them look cool. Who wouldn’t want that? Over at Facebook there’s just the faint suggestion Tangen […]
Still want? DC Villain plushies?
The response to Entertainment Earth’s plushie collection seems to have been positive so far. Geek Native’s Twitter followers like the Lord of the Rings plushies and then the Justice League plushies earned a squee or two. I was starting to believe it was a no-brainer; these plushies were bound to be popuplar. There’s a new […]
Do you want? Justice League plushies?
Last week Geek Native asked whether you might be tempted by one of these Lord of the Ring plushies. Over at Twitter the answer was clear; yes! These LoTR plushies had the squee factor. The latest edition of Green Ronin’s Mutants and Masterminds will be compatible with the newly announced DC Adventures Game license the RPG publisher secured. In fact, it looks very much as if the new DC Adventures RPG is the reason why Green Ronin are pushing out Mutants & Masterminds 3rd edition. Green Ronin’s President Chris […]
Superhero cake art: tasty!
I have no baking skill. None what so ever. I have no artistic still. Zero. There’s no way I’d ever be able to bake up a dramatic superhero cake. That’s why I’m so impressed at this collection – in particular the Wolverine and Optimus Prime cakes are… awesome. Oh. And the Hulk cake. Hulk cake […]
Superheroes transformed into women
Artists like Portal Comic / Hernan Cebrera and Elsa Chan are treating us to some visually stunning “What if” scenarios.
What if Sam Fisher, from Splinter Cell, was a woman?
What if Hellboy was Hellgirl?
Shall we find out?
An inteview with Seven Hundred – Steven Anderson
Steven Anderson is a Glasgow based graphic designer who shot to geek fame through his awesome treatment of Mr Men as super heroes and villains. The sample of Steven’s art on Geek Native has been one of the blogs most retweeted URLs in months and so I cheekily pestered Steven for an interview. Hurrah! He […]
SyFy moves us Three Inches
The SyFy channel (still called SciFi here in the UK; for now) has commissioned a 90 minute pilot of a “super” hero show called Three Inches. Remember when people poked fun at series 1 of Heroes? People with un-super powers? Well. That’s Three Inches. The pilot focuses on Walter, a daydreamer who gets hit by […]
