January 4, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Tim Burton inspired Han and Chewbacca

December 30, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Sometimes a single image can sum up a whole, complex, idea. In this case Keh Choon has an illustration of Han Solo and Chewbacca that says Tim Burton. Will we see Tim Burton produce any of the new Star Wars movies? I doubt it… but you never know.

Darth Vader from the typewriter

December 29, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Created by Gabriel Dishaw and currently on sale at Etsy for $800. The helmet is made from recycled parts of typewriters, old computers and even adding machines. Dishaw calls this upcycling, which is a good word for it, and you can see more of the up-cycler’s work at his website. Via Geek Art Gallery.

December 14, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 4 Comments

[I want this] Fancy a set of Death Star ice cubes as a last minute Christmas gift for someone? The image above is doing the rounds and no doubt came from some clever retailer who, rather sadly, isn’t being credited with the imagery. To the best of my knowledge, the Death Star ice cube was […]
