This very impressive LEGO landscape is a collaborative effort by Chris Perron and Scott Semple. I think the Eye of Sauron is especially clever. You can check out a range of close-ups and see just how clever this is on Flickr. (Via Brothers Brick)
LEGO’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle tower
This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle LEGO build was put together for the 2013 Comic-Con. Back then the Jonathan Liebesman film (produced by Michael Bay) was in mid-production, there were rumours the turtles might be aliens and some of us were worried the movie would be crap. This blogger still hasn’t seen the film and can’t […]
Marvel and LEGO meet as cake!
This tasty looking cake is from Keep it Sweet. There’s plenty more geeky cake greatness on that Deviant Art page. This cake is all types of cool – worth noting that Thor’s a bloke and Deadpool is still alive. How strange!
Tentacles of LEGO errupt from the water!
Designed by Hen Peril and shared by Brothers Brick as “Kraken Attack!” this piece was bound to catch attention. It’s unusual to see LEGO water, let alone LEGO tentacles and I’d even suggest this much violence in a LEGO diorama is pretty rare too. Fantastic piece.
Baby Groot manages to look cute even in LEGO
This Groot variant is great. Created and shared by Sean and Steph Mayo the LEGO used here reminds us that we’re well away from square bricks all the time. Baby Groot is all curves and cuteness. (Via Brothers Brick)
A LEGO masterclass with the fiery Blastous Dragon
This impressive dragon is the creation of Flickr user and LEGO hero Archinto. The Brothers Brick describe her, Breanne Sledge, as the Queen of all things Bionicle. Or Hero Factory. Both. I think they’re right. (Via Brothers Brick)
Gandalf was smart enough to avoid a doomed Giant Eagle flight into Mordor
It’s an old gamers joke. Let’s assume none of the PCs ran off with the ring the very second it was discovered. What would happen next? The chances are someone would want to use the Giant Eagles to fly into Mordor, fly over Mount Doom and drop that pesky ring into the lava. Problem solved? […]
Yes, that’s a steampunk vampire castle made from LEGO
This steampunk world has been a project of talented LEGO builder Castor Troy for a while. It earns the name “steampunk” not through the gothic architecture of the castle but through the vehicle designs you can see in the photos. (Via Brothers Brick)
Have you ever seen so much LEGO? Groot and Rocket Raccoon built to scale
Waay. More Guardians of the Galaxy. This video from Marvel is a time lapse that shows some 300 hours shrunk into little over two minutes. Watch as 80 different LEGO builders piece together a Rocket Raccoon and a Groot. These are the LEGO models that made it to San Diego Comic-Con 2014 and Guardian of […]
Strangely cute, cleverly designed LEGO minifig mecha
These LEGO constructs are just the right size for minifigs and look incredible. They’re curved where you would not think curves possible, they’re detailed at a surprising level and have been built with an impressive eye for detail. I can’t decide though; are these scary mechas or cute? These mecha designs are the work of […]
