The four Indiana Jones villains

September 8, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Drawn by Otis Frampton and shared in a post called I hate these guys are four Indiana Jones villains. Each one was created in Photoshop CS5 on a Cintiq 21UX. I think they’re superb.

Too good to eat? Legend of Zelda: Wind Walker birthday cake

September 8, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This impressive Legend of Zelda: Wind Walker cake was made by Nerdache Cakes for a 1st birthday. The boat is made from vanilla and chocolate chip cake (we’re told; kid friendly) with vanilla and almond buttercream, a layer of crushed sugar cookies and plenty of white chocolate ganache. Link and Zelda are 8″ fondant figures.

Posters: Adriana Melo’s The Hobbit

September 8, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I rather like this busy The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey poster design from Adriana Melo. It’s on sale from Melo’s site. I can’t be the only one who wishes Adriana fills in a little more of the site; especially the home section so we can discover a little more about the artist!

TF2 fan trailer: End of the Line

September 8, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

If you want to see this trailer turn into a short film and rub shoulders with the Steam posse then the creator asks you up-vote it here. End of the Line is a James McVinnie project and a core team of worthy experts. It’s a Team Fortress 2 short, created with Valve’s SFM tool. If […]

September 7, 2013 by Al Seeger 3 Comments

September 7, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The first ever MCM Comic Con to run in Scotland has just finished. It’s held in Glasgow but isn’t Glasgow Comic Con, I guess MCM didn’t think Glasgow was big enough or are sure they’re not going elsewhere in Scotland too and so this arm of the franchise gets to be a country level Comic […]

Boris Bakliža’s character art

September 7, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Boris Bakliža is an artist and cartoonist from Serbia with the mind of a gamer. He shared the following illustrations as a sample of his work, of his style, and I think they’re well worth hooking up with the roleplaying crowd as a source of inspiration. That said; I spy some ideas in here that […]

What if Attack on Titan had cute monsters? Pokemon mashup

September 6, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Is there a connection between these monsters and mankind? Is there anyway we can harness the power of these creatures and use them to battle for us? Questions that might like the awesome Attack on Titan with Pokemon? Perhaps? If I push my luck! At the very least these questions are an excuse to admire […]
