The first ever MCM Comic Con to run in Scotland has just finished. It’s held in Glasgow but isn’t Glasgow Comic Con, I guess MCM didn’t think Glasgow was big enough or are sure they’re not going elsewhere in Scotland too and so this arm of the franchise gets to be a country level Comic Con.
I was surprised by the ratio of cosplayers to conference goers. I was also surprised at how young some of the cosplayers were. The cosplayers were close to the age that some of their characters start out in the anime.
There was a good range of cosplay too; from anime, to computer games and to movies.
