Tusken Raider rides fierce Bantha… pug

November 7, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

If you look closely you may see that this is not a real Bantha. That Tusken Raider is just a toy. In fact, the so-called Bantha is actually Chubbs the Wampug. Chubbs has a history of dressing up as a wampa so this Banthapug is a new direction for him.

A Tank Girl: Carioca review

November 6, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

When I flipped open Tank Girl: Carioca I did not immediately get the Tank Girl vibe. The art is by Mike McMahon – of plenty of 2000AD and some Doctor Who Classics Omnibus editions. Perhaps I got a mixed signal from the 2000AD style, perhaps it just took me a while to get into the […]

November 6, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

One of the largest and brightest man-made objects ever to fly over London did so last night. The object in question, some 50 feet in diameter and over three tons in weight, was the “Halo 4” Glyph. There’s no doubt Halo 4 is launching with quite a bang. Meanwhile, Master Chief was out on Tower […]

Chariot trailer

November 6, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

A U.S. government evacuation program gone horribly wrong or something else entirely? They have got a website here and a pretty good cast; Anthony Montgomery (Star Trek: Enterprise), Sharon Taylor (Stargate: Atlantis, Smallville) and […]
