Doctor Who: The Eleventh Hour trailer clip

March 20, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Don’t watch this if you’re very allergic to spoilers. If you’re only slightly concerned about spoilers then I don’t think this clip gives away any more of the plot than the end of series 4 did. Some thoughts; easy to speculate that the ginger little girl grows up to be Amy Pond. Could be cool. […]

An introduction to inflatable spacecraft

March 20, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

“You can think of it as going from a pencil to a coke can after expansion,” says one of the experts promoting the idea of inflatable spacecraft. No prizes for guessing that the next question from the lips of the New scientist reporter is, “Is it safe?” Turns out, the argument is, that inflatable fabric […]

Fullmetal Alchemist as a CRPG

March 20, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

There’s going to be a Fullmetal Alchemist RPG for the PSP – and it looks pretty cool. Right now we’ve got Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood going great guns in both the US and the UK so while this preview is entirely in Japanese we can be hopeful the game makes the leap to an English version. […]

Leaked pictures from Game of Thrones set

March 20, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Two pictures taken just before shooting began for a Games of Throne scene have surfaced on Winter is Coming’s Facebook Fanpage. These photographs came from Doune Castle. I assume that’s the Doune Castle in Stirling – not a million miles from this Scottish blogger.

Yoshi scarf – cool and warm!

March 20, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

All the way from the famous Destructoid is this fantastically cool (and warm) Yoshi scarf. I do worry whether the green Yoshi head would make the scarf a little lopsided though? Girls, are you supposed to tuck Yoshi down your front and then button your coat?

GAME BAFTA award winners 2010

March 19, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This year’s GAME BAFTA award winners have been announced. As you’d expect, headline sponsors GAME have deals on to support it but also notice Play with their deals. Looks like Left 4 Dead 2 hasn’t done as well as fans would have expected. The BBC has already run a news reel talking about the British […]

Uber-cute Snorlax dress (via @lesvillainettes)

March 19, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Something tells me we’ll see more of Betty Felons talents. Why? Simply due to fan pressure. Betty’s put together this uber-cute Snorlax dress for a friends Pokemon-themed birthday party. Her fan following will soar. What a hit. There are more pictures over on her Flickr account so check them out or follow Betty on Twitter […]

Megamind trailer

March 19, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This video has caught me by surprise. I’m not going to say anything more; except; “In the eternal struggle between good and evil – good has always prevailed – but this time evil has a secret, incredible, totally handsome weapon. Me! I make bad look so good.”

Ghostbusters Alignment Chart

March 19, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Someone deserves an extra marshmallow – what a great idea; a Ghostbusters and Dungeons & Dragons mashup. Bring on the old style / Old Testament alignment system and lets see if we can map that nicely to the Ghostbuster world. We can! What next? Gods and cats, living together! Mass hysteria! Thanks to the good […]

Papercraft GameBoy is foldy goodness

March 19, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is just to prove you don’t need to have all these new fangled electronic bits and bobs in order to enjoy some old fashioned GameBoy goodness. That’s right. You can create your very own handheld console out of paper. Teaser images below are just to tempt you over to the full collection at Behance.
