It’s been a few days since we’ve seen a new poster of dwarves from the forthcoming The Hobbit movie. Fear not! We have a new one! Step forward actors Stephen Hunter, James Nesbitt and William Kircher. They are Bofur, Bombur and Bifur. Yes. It’s very weird seeing James Nesbitt has a dwarf.

Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows trailer
A Game of… A Game of… I’ve already had my email from Amazon to say that A Game of Thrones’ A Dance with Dragons has shipped – but no book! Now I have a trailer to showcase A Game of Shadows is coming… but no film. I’ll have to wait for both. Gah! At least […]
The Secret of the Unicorn: two minutes of Tintin
I’m a little surprised that I’m writing this – but Tintin looks like it might be a good movie. I suppose neither Steven Spielberg, director, or Peter Jackson, producer, want to rubbish an adventure franchise that has been going strong for nearly 100 years. I’m also intrigued by the visuals. It’s an animation but not […]
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows – first two posters
What we have here are Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law looking perfectly Holmes and Watson. The first movie was good for a whole number of reasons; one of which was the look and feel. Judging by these two posters A Game of Shadows is heading in that direction too. Sherlock Holmes 2 also includes […]
More dwarves from the Hobbit: Oin and Gloin
The teaser posters continue to come out for The Hobbit. This time we’ve got Oin (played by John Callen) and Gloin (played by Peter Hambleton). Gloin is the father of Glimli. John Rhys-Davies was perfect as Glimli. I like connections like this between the two books. Not sure I’m so keen on some of the […]
First picture of the Dwarves of The Hobbit; Nori, Dori and Ori
This picture shows the first of the Dwarves in the forthcoming The Hobbit movie. Pictured here are Nori, Ori and Dori. Nori is played by Jed Brophy, Ori by Adam Brown and Dori by Mark Hadlow. I remember these guys well. We’re along way off from getting our eyes on The Hobbit. What does your […]
Harry Potter: I’m a Hufflepuff. We R Slytherins.
It’s Harry Potter fever all over again. The premier shows today in London. Or Loondoom as I like to call it. Online retailer Play.com will be streaming live from the red carpet via their Facebook page and the internet is madly busy making viral candidate videos that ooze Harry Potter. A starter for ten is […]
Jessica Rabbit as Slave Leia x 2
For some mystery the picture of Heidi Klum dressed as Jessica Rabbit is one of the most popular photos on this blog. Slave Leia posts are uber popular too – except this one. I wonder how well this pair of mashups will do; Jessica Rabbit as Slave Leia. Any bets? From The Daily Dingo. From […]
Left 4 Dead fan film gets another trailer
I think the sound in this trailer for the fan made Left 4 Dead film is remarkable. It gets the game exactly right. It sounds like Left 4 Dead. I think the actors are doing well too. No idea about how much time they put into this project but I suspect it’s a lot and […]
Transformers 3 borrows scenes – stunning proof
This may be a geek crime but I just can’t bring myself to care about Transformers 3. It’s a ruined franchise for me. I still like the Transformers. I just want to divorce the Bay movies from my fandom. I heard that T3 borrowed some scenes from Transformers 2. My only reaction was the hope […]
