A rather sinister short film but ideal if you need to distract your brain. What would it take for a robot to turn serial killer? Why would it do it? What would it be trying to do? These are some of the questions explored in Rob McLellan’s ABE. Fans can get more information from the […]

Star Wars Day: The Stormtrooper blooper
This blooper has been seen by millions. I certainly remember it… but has it made it through all the edits of the special editions? If you’re yet to see it the clip above shows the Stormtrooper bonking his head on a doorway on the way to the control room while the heroes are stuck in […]
The Wolverine: The Silver Samurai Strikes trailer
Shown for CinemaCon and looking great. Directed by James Mangold (Cop Land, 3:10 to Yuma), The Wolverine stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee and Famke Janssen (Jean Grey). The movie is set after Wolverine Origins and follows Logan as he comes to terms with his new found body and his immortality. It’s expected out on […]
Over two minutes of Pacific Rim greatness
My expectations are getting dangerously high for Pacific Rim. This is never a good thing. Check out this trailer and tell me if I’m wrong. Add in Guillermo de Toro, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman and even Ellen (Glados) McLain – then tell me I’m wrong? I know! I might be wrong. It could all come […]
Iron Man 3 review
There are a few surprises in Iron Man 3. There is always a risk with messing with expectations when it comes to comic book movies but Shane Black and the writing team make it work. I enjoyed Iron Man 3. It’s easily the strongest of the Iron Man sequels. The original retains the title of […]
The sound of Oblivion
I don’t think there are any real spoilers here – but if you’re super cautious, avoid until you’ve seen the film Oblivion. If you’ve seen the film Oblivion then this feature will make. How do you soundscape a world after a nuclear war? This video touches on the sound those pesky drones made, through to […]
Short film: C
C is a brave short sci-fi film. This is the story of Lieutenant Commander Malleck and her mutiny during an interplanetary cold war. The film is impressive enough, having funded via Kickstarter nut it’s worth noting that neither CGI nor greenscreens were used in it. All the effects you see are props and filmed “in-camera”. […]
Ratchet & Clank movie trailer announcement
There’s still the fashion to do comic book and computer game movies. Sure. That said, I’ll admit to being a little surprised that the promise of a Ratchet & Clank movie seems to be coming true. Right now we’re on the trailer true stage for the movie and with a release date of 2015. It’s […]
Thor: The Dark World trailer UK
The Marvel UK YouTube channel has released an official trailer for Thor: The Dark World. This follows on from the original Thor movie and features some familiar faces. The movie is expected in the UK for October 30th and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston and Christopher Eccleston.
R.I.P.D. trailer
R.I.P.D. is an established comic book series and it’s another one that’s making its way to the big screen. This time neither DC nor Marvel involved; this is a Dark Horse title. The movie stars Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds (who’s both the Green Lantern and Deadpool). Kevin Bacon also features as Bobby Hayes. Reynolds […]
