Aeria’s Perfect World trailer

July 28, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Perfect World is a MMORPG from Aeria Games. The company has been producing these sexy cinematic videos for the game… which I don’t think relate to the visual aspects of the game itself but add to the mythology and look cool. Will this blogger post a video just because it looks cool? Yes. Yes he […]

Kinect Star Wars – Cool? Cheese? Crepe?

July 28, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I suspect this video will divide people. It shows the new Star Wars game for the Xbox 360. It’s a game that you can play with your hands, without a controller and so it means you can do the lightsaber swings yourself or control an X-Wing. I suspect the Star Wars franchise will be a […]

Munchkin Axe Cop trailer video

July 28, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

You read the title right. There is a Munchkin Axe Cop mashup coming. There is a trailer video for it. How’s this for a concept? There are monsters. Lots of them. Axe Cop has an axe. He cuts the heads off these monsters. I know. It’s a challenge to get your head around. It may […]

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine trailer

July 27, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Got a video update for THQ’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine game. This is a 3rd persion shooter from Relic using Games Workshop’s popular franchise. We’ve got Orks, Chaos as the Space Marines. They all seem to have soft, Southern English accents – which seems odd to me! Disclaimer; this blogger is Scottish, geography dictates that […]

July 26, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

EA have released a new advert for Star Wars: The Old Republic. It’s a set of clips, 30 seconds of The Old Republic goodness, that seem to fly by at light speed. There’s no doubting the success of The Old Republic and Knights franchise. Just taking a gander at Play.com’s matches for Old Republic reveal […]

Captain America: Super Solider is a third person action game from Sega. You get to play Captain America in an adventure written by Christos Gage – who heads up Marvel’s Avengers: The Initiative. Gage’s story is designed so that setting overlaps with the movie but includes new twists designed to enhance gameplay. Marvel and Sega […]

The Design Mechanism is born so RuneQuest can live

July 17, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The quick background to this post is that British heavyweight Mongoose Publishing split with Issaries who own the RuneQuest franchise. Parts of various projects live on under new names but what of RuneQuest itself? Lawrence Whitaker and Pete Nash; with plenty of Eternal Champion and RuneQuest titles to their name, have created a new company; […]
