June 22, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

What did you make of the Warcraft film? I was torn on it – not as good as I had hoped, not as bad as I feared and while I didn’t rave about it I was pleased to here it’s been a big success in China. I’m not a Warcraft gamer and so know very […]

A tablet stand you can snuggle: A review of the iBeani

June 22, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I unboxed my iBeani at work just when one of the IT support guys were passing my desk. They wouldn’t believe the skull and crossbones I was holding up was, in anyway, a tablet stand. My partner thought it looked like a beanbag for a cat. It’s easy to understand the confusion. I’ve a few […]

Her greatest enemy: A review of Andromeda’s War

June 21, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I suppose if I’m honest with myself I’m surprised how much I liked Andromeda’s War and the Andromeda’s Fall series. It’s a spin off from The Legion of the Damned which I will now read. I guess it goes to show you shouldn’t judge a series just because the main character has a name like […]

Fancy your own Spooquish pet rock monster?

June 20, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

[I want one] Etsy store Orion Oddities makes these quirky – perhaps not cute – pet rocks. The Spooquish have carved teeth and carefupply planted eyes. They’re made by hand, from stone and shipped from Italy. The store specialises in making Cthulhu inspired goodies. Can you tell? I rather fancy one for the plant pot […]
