I rather enjoyed The Great Pretender on Netflix, which showed Case 1, 2 and 3 of the con-men and con-women drama.
The art style is easy to spot, spreads of colour to create detailed backgrounds and long, lanky but believable characters.
The series has already wrapped in Japan, the final chapter finished in September. The first episode of that case is the “Wizard of Far East” and introduced new characters, such as the Wizard and Dorothy, who is important to Laurent.
Case 4 of The Great Pretender is the longest of the set, running for nine episodes and is focused in Laurent’s mysterious backstory.
