There’s a new Fighting Fantasy book coming. Crystal of Storms is written by Rhianna Pratchett, and that’ll make her the first-ever female guest author to contribute to the long-running adventure gamebook series.
Rhianna is a journalist, a video game writer who has worked on games like Tomb Raider, Heavenly Sword and Mirror’s Edge. And yes, she’s Terry Pratchett’s daughter.
If you pre-order via the book shop The Alligator’s Mouth then with your book you’ll get a pair of Fighting Fantasy D6.
Fighting Fantasy is coming back to life with more than just Crystal of Storms. The books have a new publisher in the shape of education specialist Scholastic Books, and they’ll be republishing the classic Return to Firetop Mountain.
The Alligator’s Mouth is also including free D6 with pre-orders of The Return to Firetop Mountain. You have until the 1st of October to place your order.
Arion Games, who publish the RPG Advanced Fighting Fantasy, launched this week a new ezine for the series called The Warlock Returns with issue #1 available via DriveThruRPG.
On the 30th of September, Crowdcast will host a discussion with Rhianna and gaming legend Ian Livingstone. Crowdcast is a video discussion site just for creators.
